Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand known for its powerful strikes and clinching methods. It is sometimes referred to as “the art of eight limbs” because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet. Compared to many other martial arts, Muay Thai places an emphasis on physical conditioning and on perfecting a relatively small number of fundamental techniques. Due to its proven effectiveness in competition, Muay Thai has become probably the most common foundation of striking for fighters competing in the kickboxing ring and the MMA arena worldwide.
At Four Seasons, we have students training Muay Thai in preparation for MMA competition and others training for exercise and self-defense. Whether you’re looking for a championship belt or just to get in shape, Muay Thai has something to offer.
